Speaking to a Deaf world.

Ya know tonight everything hit me, but the thing that really hit me is how our band is no longer anywhere near the same. Last summer we were this tightly nit group that rocked out camp singing “God’s Not Dead” and were real with eachother. I look at our group now and see strengths that we didn’t have then, but I’m not going to lie…it breaks my heart. I would give anything for the whole band to be going to Rivercrest this summer, for us to be playing that stinkin’ song for the 5 millionth time, but still get teary-eyed from hearing the kids sing it. Connie always reminds me how we always make it work, but this time I’m not sure I’ll be able to put my big girl pants on and do it without a few more tears shed. 

I’ve sat here for the past 30 minutes listening to my little sister cry and my mom say stupid things she doesn’t mean and this is what I have to say….

I will never homeschool my children…ever. It is unstructured, nothing like what actual school is, and does nothing for the students except create more problems. It destroyed my self-esteem as a kid and if I would’ve gone to school public school I wouldn’t have had to deal with half the crap I did.
